Calahute is a farm owned by the Anzueto family who are now third generation coffee farmers. Calahute is within the Huehuetenango Region of Guatemala, near the Mexican border. Headed up by Alfonso Anzueto, the family grows a number of varietals on the farm and this lot includes Caturra, Catuai and Tekisik. Roasted for espresso or filter brewing, you will find, chocolate fudge, caramel and distinct purple grape in the cup. This is the esprtesso roast. Designed for espresso style brewing but also suitable for filter brews. Best black but is super sweet in the milk!
